Front Surface Mirrors
We make many standard front surface mirrors with reflectivities
ranging from approximately 10% to 96%.

True and exacting image reflection is a basic requirement
for mirrors used in duplicating equipment, jet fighter planes, electronics
equipment, telescopes, projectors and other precision, high reflection
light systems. Front surface mirrors meet exacting demands for a durable
source free from "ghost" images. They give true image reflection
and a high percentage of reflected light.
Using the most modern vacuum coating techniques, we
manufacture many types of front surface mirrors including gold, chrome,
aluminum and others which can be applied to glass, plastics and metals.
These mirrors are usually produced with a protective layer applied, giving
them a hard, durable finish on the exposed surface*.
* One outstanding examples of our front surface mirror
production skill is the 97 1/2" high by 155" wide, 3 piece,
mirror at NASA's Mission Operations Control Center. Here a rear projection
system gives officials a visual "play by play" of space flights
in progress. This mirror installation features a large world map on which
spacecraft positions are superimposed by a series of projectors used simultaneously
in the folded optics system. At FLABEG we have the capability of producing
one piece mirrors in sizes up to 120" dia. or 100" x 100"
sq.
